Your Last Chance at Salvation

Okay, it's D-day for jamming the most important holiday compilation ever crafted by man's slimy hands. The hands in question belong to good ol' Brandon Fincher, and the collection is TOO GHOUL FOR SCHOOL VOL. 2: HOT FOR CREATURE.

Download it here!

Seriously, if you only listen to one 46-track Halloween compilation today, make sure it's this one.

HALLOWEEN

It's OCTOBER 31st, which means it's now HALLOWEEN, which means it's PARTY TIME in the most WICK'D way. I didn't want to leave anyone high and dry on such an important day. Truth be told, I had planned to write about some of the horror flicks I've been watching this month, both via Netflix and Monsters HD, but I never got around to it! I also haven't had a chance to scan in a bunch of the stuff I've drawn.

Maybe November should be the JLR Halloween month.

For now, here's the "scariest" drawing I had among the things I've drawn since moving to Hoboken. I think what makes it scary is that it started out as a drawing of Pat.

Robotronic Dynamite! Episode 61

I gotta say, this one is a pretty spicy tamale. If you're into that fancy new game Dead Space, which we all are, then you'll want to hear what EA environmental artist Nathan Kennedy has to say about the experience of working on it.

If you're not into Dead Space, get into it! Then check the episode out HERE.

Slamm Pumpkin

It's tough to contain the mighty Slamm Dunk in a measly pumpkin, but I'll be darned if I didn't try. Sadly, the viewfinder on my camera is broken, so I couldn't go to the menu and turn the flash off, hence the crappy cellphone pic of the candle-lit final product.

The Mighty Return of THE JLR

It's almost been a MONTH since I last posted. One month. That's pretty insane by The JLR standards, and not posting in October would be a truly grave sin. I realized recently that I have a big stack of retarded drawings that I've done off and on in my free time since I moved to Hoboken, so if I get a chance I'm going to scan some of the more wick'd ones in and post them here.

For right now, I'll start your week with a candid image of our old pal Fox McCloud from this year's New York Anime Festival. Truly, he looks ripped from those wacky claymation-style Starfox adverts, one of which used to decorate my wall in ye olde days.
